• If your main focus is on data quality and advanced matching, DataPlatform might be the better option. This platform provides High Precision Matching, Sanction List Matching, and advanced data quality controls.

DataHub and DataPlatform are closely connected but serve different functions within the data management process:

• DataHub is designed for data integration. It connects various data sources and creates Golden Records. This process utilizes components from DataPlatform to clean, standardize, and deduplicate source records before merging them.
• DataPlatform focuses specifically on data quality. It provides tools to validate, clean, and standardize names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. Additionally, it matches and deduplicates large amounts of data, ensuring you always work with clean and consistent records.

Our solutions assist organizations in making their data more reliable, structured, and manageable in several ways:

• Data validation: we verify and validate information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails to ensure the data is accurate and usable.
• Standardization: we ensure that data is presented in a uniform format (e.g., addresses and phone numbers), reducing errors and simplifying analysis and integration.
• Cleansing and deduplication: our tools identify and remove duplicate records while correcting errors, helping to maintain a complete and reliable view of your customers.
• Advanced matching: we link and match records from different sources, even when minor discrepancies exist—this is particularly useful for consolidating customer data.
• Golden Records: we create a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) by merging multiple source records into a single, accurate, consistent profile.
• Data linking: we integrate and connect various data sources for a comprehensive overview of your data.
• Analysis and reporting: our solutions provide insights into data quality and composition, allowing you to monitor and improve performance continuously.

We maintain strict security measures to protect your data and privacy.

• ISO 27001:2017 certified: as part of TDA Group, Human Inference is certified according to the internationally recognized ISO 27001:2017 standard for information security. This means our processes meet strict data management, risk control, and continuous improvement requirements.
• Encrypted connections: all communication between your systems and our applications (including components and databases) takes place over secure (SSL) connections.
• Secure password storage: access credentials are encrypted to prevent them from being stored in a readable format.
• Access control: strict access controls define who can view and edit data. User activities can be logged for additional monitoring and auditing.
• Limited logging: while we use extensive logging in development environments to fine-tune configurations, we ensure that logging does not expose customer data in production environments.

Thanks to these measures and our ISO certification, you can be confident that your data is secure and compliant with privacy regulations.

The method to check the version depends on the solution you are using:

• DataHub: open the software and look in the about box for the exact version number.
• DataPlatform: you can find the version number in the base-version.txt file located in the HI_BASE_ROOT folder on your server.

We publish the latest release notes for DataPlatform and DataHub on the customer portal so that you can stay informed about updates and new features.

DataPlatform includes several components to monitor and improve data quality. You can configure these components in the settings files as follows:

• The main configurations are found in the base6.config file, located in the HI_USER_ROOT folder.
• In this file, you can enable, disable, or adjust components according to your organization’s specific needs.

The latest postal code tables and periodic updates are available through the customer portal:

• The Dutch postal code table is updated monthly.
• For other countries, updates are released every three months.

Would you like to receive a notification when an update is available? Let us know at fulfilment@humaninference.com, and we’ll email you when a new version is released.

Ensuring you are using the most up-to-date postal code tables is important. You can check the version using one of the following methods:

• Windows: run the hiq_actb_version.exe program, which is in the bin folder of HI_BASE_ROOT.
• Unix/Linux: execute the hiq_actb_version.sh script found in the same folder.

If you need assistance verifying the version, please submit a request via the customer portal.

The speed at which you can start using our solutions depends on your specific requirements and situation.

Since every organization has unique needs, the implementation time can vary per project. However, we follow a clear, structured process to keep things predictable and ensure you always know what to expect.

For example, DataHub can be fully operational within 2.5 months—four times faster than comparable Single Customer View software.

Our software is designed for flexible integration with existing IT systems in several ways:

• File integration: we support standard formats such as TXT, CSV, and XLS.
• Databases: our solution offers seamless connections with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Messaging systems: we are compatible with Apache ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, and Azure Service Bus.
• REST API: all functionalities of DataHub can be easily integrated via REST API.
• SOAP API: DataPlatform offers full SOAP support for integration with other systems.

We follow a standard implementation approach, treating it as an ongoing process with three main objectives:

1. Professional guidance: our consultants support you throughout the rollout.
2. Functional and technical support: we ensure that everything runs smoothly.
3. Continuous education: we train your team through classroom sessions and hands-on workshops, empowering you to manage the solution independently.

The implementation process includes six key steps:

1. Initial consultation: we assess your needs, goals, and data landscape to determine your best solution.
2. Preparation and planning: we develop a detailed implementation plan that covers requirements, project steps, and necessary infrastructure.
3. Data preparation: we assist in cleaning and preparing your data, which includes standardization and deduplication.
4. Solution implementation: the software is configured and integrated with your existing systems.
5. Testing and validation: we thoroughly test the solution to ensure it functions correctly, making optimizations where needed.
6. Training and support: your team will receive workshops, documentation, and hands-on guidance to maximize the solution’s value.

We provide various training programs tailored to both functional and technical users.

For DataHub:

• Fundamentals – Functional: introduction to data quality, the data quality life cycle, and the role of knowledge in our solutions.
• Fundamentals – Technical: in-depth training on configuring and managing DataHub.
• Data Stewards: training focused on using DataHub from the perspective of a Data Steward.

For DataPlatform:

• Basics: introduction to data quality, the data quality life cycle, and the role of knowledge in our solutions.
• Identify – Basic: using identities for searching and deduplicating data.
• Identify – Extended: advanced training on setting up identities and refining the matching process.
• Data Quality Components: a deep dive into name, address, phone, and email components, and how to integrate them.
• Technical: covers installation, configuration, and management of the solution.

We also offer on-the-job training, providing hands-on support during the implementation to ensure your team learns by doing.
